A recent incident happened at work, made me think a lot…thought of sharing it with you dear readers…
At my workplace we are in process of organizing an event addressing the company’s staff. The theme of this event is encouraging diversity & inclusiveness.
One of the brochures of the events has pictures of various flags of different countries, shockingly; Israel’s flag is there…. Someone raised a point regarding Israel’s flag, the team started discussing, 98% of the team were like “we don’t see anything wrong about it, come on people! It’s just a flag and it does exist whether we like it or not”…. and only 2 people including myself were against the idea. I pointed out clearly that am against this, it doesn’t even exist so that we put their flag. It’s a shame if we do!
This matter is still pending and it hasn’t been decided yet whether we should keep it or remove it. It’s really getting on my nerves…like seriously!
Does being cool mean that one should make a LOT of compromises at cost of his sense of national identity? Is it really worth it at the end of the day? Is that part of being cool anyways? Or just ignorance?

It's more like betrayal rather than "being cool"
I agree with G-chan! some ppl are just.. too stupid to be cool
G-chan,
Exactly, that's the most appropriate desciption!
Spot,
Another sad fact :)
what's wrong in putting it is that once we agree to put it, we accept whatever happens there.
I don't acknowledge its existence ...
Amarant,
Neither do I!
